The MacLeods of Dalvey are a cadet branch of the MacLeods of Harris and Dunvegan and descend from Sir Roderick (Rory) Mor MacLeod, 15th Chief, through his fifth son Donald. Dalvey MacLeods have been estate proprietors and farmers, served as military officers and surgeons, and become lawyers and bankers. They have settled in the USA, Canada, Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and other countries. But the family roots remain in Scotland and they are still proudly MacLeod.
