Formal opening of the Chief John Memorial Gazebo by HRH The Princess Royal

The photos below were taken during the approach to the gazebo by HRH, and during the time she visited with members of the Clan MacLeod. Following the uncovering of the embossed bronze medallion in the centre of the gazebo floor, HRH continued her tour of the Gardens with David Maclean, Dunvegan Castle’s acclaimed head gardener. HRH was also able to meet employees of the Estate, the Clan MacLeod North Room Group (now known as Young MacLeods), and local community leaders on the Castle Gun Court before being shown the many repairs and improvements made to the Castle under the direction of Chief Hugh.
